Design

It’s all in the design and the devil is in the detail.

What you need is someone that can design with all different media and equipment taken into consideration. You might have a great rapport with your current designer and very happy with their work, but do they have the skills and  experience to deal with different media and equipment being used? Don’t take the risk, some printers that you supply production ready files don’t care what comes out at the end. why? They didn’t design it. The absolve them selves from any responsibility.

The design is more than form it is function as well. The way it looks in the design concept is usually aesthetics, personal choice. The function it is to achieve is more mechanical in nature. The way the job is made is very important. Sometimes how the job was designed determines how it can be made. That is where experience comes into to play to make sure you have a stress free order process.

The initial concept is easier to achieve than the final output expectation. With advancements in technology you can print metallic inks on many more surfaces a lot easier, usually with a premium but guess what? That shinny glimmering image might only be so for a couple of months. Is that what you wanted? if so, fine. But if it wasn’t you will be left short changed and will have to redo the job taking up your time and money.
